About me
I have owned Belgian Shepherds for over 50 years and I have been involved with the development of the Belgian Shepherd all varieties from the very early days in the UK and I have been privileged to own some very special Groenendael and Tervueren over the years who have left an indelible mark on the development of the breed in the UK,  indeed many of the top dogs around the world can be traced back to some of my dogs. I have been actively showing, breeding and judging the Belgian Shepherds since the early 1970's.

I usually only breed a litter once or maybe twice a year and normally when I would like to keep something for the future.

Over the last nearly 50 years I have visited many top continental kennels of the past. I have also visited the Continental club shows annually since the late 70's. In addition I have attended and taken part in many international breed seminars, and I have been fortunate enough to have witnessed some of the breeds greats of the past and present day,

I have successfully shown my dogs in Belgium, Holland and France and UK, wining CACs in each country.

In the past I have served as Secretary of the Belgian Shepherd Dog Association.

I have also served as  judges trainer, assessor and mentor for the new judges to the breed, Set and marked examinations to move judges up through the Kennel Club system. I have given Breed lectures and presentations on the Belgian Shepherd for up and coming judges.

Previously I have undertaken work as Breed notes writer for dog publications Our Dogs and Dog World for a number of years. In addition I served as feature writer Our Dogs covering KC disciplinary hearings and high profile dog events such as Dangerous Dogs act parliamentary hearing at Westminster. I have also worked on the launch and marketing of the premium pet food Arden Grange and became their breeder liaison manager.

Have written numerous articles on the breed, for publications, such as yearbooks, KC journals, and various general canine publications.

I have judged Belgian Shepherds in the United Kingdom since the 1970's and at Championship level since the 1980's. I regularly judge the breed overseas at club and international show level.

I have judged the breed twice at the prestigious Crufts dog show in the UK, which regularly attract over 24,000 dogs from all over the world, I judged Tervueren, Groenendael , Malinois and Laekenois
